La
Gloria Cubana Serie R cigars have long been the favorite of die-hard
full-bodied cigar aficionados. Blended by famed cigar maker Ernesto
Perez-Carrillo, the Series R is an extension of the original La Gloria
Cubana cigar line, but made with a pumped up blend and a few extra years
of aging.
This
gives the cigar a richer, fuller-bodied flavor profile. The special
Dominican tobaccos lend the cigar a refined smoothness that gives the
cigar a layered quality – strong and polished.
The
natural wrapped Serie R is spicy and rich on the medium side of
full-body with overtones of earth. The maduro Serie R is also spicy and
carries a slightly fuller body than the natural wrapper. The Maduro has
flavors of dark roasted coffee with a slight sweetness that highlights
its complex flavors.
